On Wendesday, December 17th, our school had an Elementry Christmas Concert. I was sad that my mom came late because of traffic. But I enjoyed singing our song, “The 12 days of Kiwi Christmas” and playing our musical instruments for the “Christmas Medley” and “Silent Night”.

When GSIS Elementry Christmas Concert started, we sang “The 12 days of Kiwi Christmas” and we played our musical instruments for the “Christmas Medley”. Lots of parents complained that they couldn’t see us because we played our instruments not on the stage but in front of the stage.

Towards the end of Christmas concert, other students from Grade 4, Grade 3, Grade 2, Grade 1, and Kindy lit their candle lights and stood at the end of the auditorium. While these students were turning on their candle lights, Grade 2 presented their drama and we played our instruments for “Silent Night”. When the narrator for Grade 2 drama was telling the story, we hummed “Silent Night”. As the narrator continued, we played our instruments for “Silent Night”.

This is the order of the GSIS Elementry Christmas Concert:
-Grade 5′s “The Twelve days of Christmas” (Kiwi version) and musical instruments for “Christmas Medley”

-Kindergartens and Pre-K’s Global Christmas (duet with Kindergarten and Pre-K)

-Grade 2 is singing Christmas carols and Grade 3 is ringing their bells. (duet with Grade 2 and Grade 3)

-Grade 4 is singing the Christmas carols. (No duet)

-Grade 1 is singing the Christmas carols and Grade 4 is playing African instruments. (duet with Grade 1 and Grade 4)

-Other students are standing at the edge of the auditorium with candles while Grade 2 is acting their drama and Grade 5 is playing their instruments for “Silent Night”.

After when we finished our concert, we ate different foods (sandwhich, kimbub, juice, and fruits). I was busy finding my mom who came after the GSIS Elementry Christmas Concert finished. So, my friends already got their foods so I shared with her. I was sorry for her.

Pre-K is taking pictures after when the Christmas Concert was finished.
This is my first GSIS Christmas Concert. I hope my next (I am go to Middle School) Christmas Concert will be better. I didn’t liked that the Christmas Concert was only 40 minutes and I think we didn’t had a lot of time to practice. There wasn’t enough musical instruments. So, I hope next year’s Christmas Concert will have more time to practice and more kinds of musical instruments. More talents and a longer show that is more than 40 minutes.
