I like Hillsong Kids’ ’Alive’ because it is exciting and it shows that you believe God. When I listen to this song, I feel free and it makes me want to dance. Also the lyrics of the song makes me feel like I am truly saved by God.

Speech of Organization (AHA)
Few weeks ago, my teacher told to the class to make a speech of charity organization. The due date was next Thursday but I needed to do my speech 1 day before because I couldn’t come on Thursday. I didn’t have lots of times to practice and write my speech. But thanksful my classmate Elaine taught me the useful website to get informations of famous charity organizations. So, I was able to choose and learn the organization called American Humane Association (AHA).

This video is my speech of AHA. When I watched it again by myself, I hate my video that it shaked, bad screen, and my powerpoint that it didn’t come out in the right time. But I believe I did my job that has my responsibility.
Vietnam that I learned…

These are the things that I learned from my Vietnam guide.
The guide explained lots of things like method of Vietnam people’s building their houses, how does Vietnam people live, Vietnamese’ personalities, and 3 important things that you need to know.
How does Vietnam people build their house?
Most the Vietnamese live in houses and richer people live in apartments. And people who live in houses don’t remodel or don’t paint the sides ad of the back of their houses. They just paint the front pretty and not other sides to save money.
Long time ago, Vietnam people built their houses just a normal Asian house like what Korean people built long time ago. But one day, France invaded Vietnam. So, Vietnames needed to work for France. But there was a problem. For example, like one day a Franch man needed Vietnames to do something. But, there are lots of rixe paddies in Vietnam so houses were 20metres long that it took a long time for Vietnames to walk 20metres quickly. However, everyday Franch took a long time to collect Vietnamese. So, Franch man built Vietnames’ houses for free and the people lived closly each other. And now when you go to Vietnam, Vietnes houses are similiar to European’s house. there are 4th floors in the house and the roof’s edg is sharp. But the houses are stuck with other neighbor’s houses. In Summer, Vietam’s temperture is about 40 degrees so when the houses are seperated it will cracked and shattered. And there are lots of houses in Vietnam without any air conditional. So, if you open the windowas or don’t have any curtains, you willl die. So, when you see these houses, their windows are covered with and black or dark brown woods. Sohouses mostly have 4th floors and a small store in their house. Most Koreans like big stores but Vietnames buy more things than big stores. So, the Vietnamese houses are:
1st floor: Small Store
2nd floor: Living room, kitchin…
3rd, 4th floors: bedrooms…

How does Vietnam people live?
When you see Vietnam’s streets there are no any traffic lights, mostly of motorcycles, bad air, stucked houses, car’s honking sounds…. When I saw Vietnam’s streets, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The motorcycles are look like trillions of anchovies. And even one taxi driver who drived taxi for more than 30 years said, driving taxi in Vietnam is impossible to him. Vietnam people mostly ride motorcycles not cars. If doesn’t have any money but they still buy the motorcycles using lots of methods. Vietnam people always ride their motorcycles even it is close way they can walk in 5 minutes. Women whose are going to the supermarket brings their motorcycles. Mostly 2 people or 1 person is riding one motorcycle but sometimes 3,4, or 5 people are riding the motorcycle in one motorcycle for example like whole family. When there is an accident between 2 motorcycles people mostly care of their motorcycles not their bodies. And if the motorcycles are okay they just go away and if not, they fight each other. And, if there is an accident so person hurt and die, mostly other people call the ambulance and send the died person into the hospital. But, Vietnam people do is just cover the dead body with the white cover and wait until died person’s family or relationships come.

Now, the contry that help and investing is Korea. Like Samsung, Daewoo Cars, LG, and other companies help and sell cars, cellphones, or air conditionals. And other Koean cookie companies or things such as bags built the factories in Vietnam. About 30 years ago, Korean cookie companies Orion made the cookie called Choco Pie and it was very popular in South Korea but now there are lots of more delicious other cookies in North Korea so not lots of people don’t buy any Choco Pie anymore. But, in Vietnam after Orion company made the factory in Vietnam and sell the Choco Pie to Vietnam people, it became so popular in Vietnam too.

Fastfoods in Vietnam)
There weren’t any people whose were fat people in Vietnam but there became little bit of fat people because of fast foods. Have you ever heard of Lotteria and BBQ? Lotteria is Korea hamburger brand and BBQ became Korea chicken brand. During weekend, most of families eat their meals together in the family restaurant but Vietnam’s family restaurant is a fast food such as Lotteria.

In Korea, not much people eat rice anymore. But Vietnam people still eat their cultured rice. Vietnam is the 2nd or 3rd country that have lots of rice and produce to other country. And Korea rice is all rounded shapes but Vietnam rice is all longish shape. So, Vietnam rice can swallow easily than Korean rice. And rice noodles are very popular and famous in Vietnam. So, When people think of Vietnam, they mostly can think of Vietnam and triangle shaped hat. Triangle shaped hat is for Vietnam women who works in the farms. That hat protects Sunshine so Vietnam women wears when they are working in the farms. And another thing that Vietnam produce is the red bricks. There are lots of red soil in Vietnam so there are lots of red bricks factories in Vietnam.

When you go to Vietnam the country side, there are lots of people whose don’t have nothing to do. There are lots of farmlands more than cities in Vietnam. But, Vietnam people raise the crops by their hands and their cows not the machines like tractors. And build their houses by themselves. Few people works in factories or farm works, but mostly people don’t have nothing to do.
Cow)
In Vietnam, Cows are mostly use for farm works not for eating. So, Vietnam cows have muscles than fats so Vietnam beefs are tough. There are two kinds of cows that works for farm that is water buffalos and just a normal cows. When the water bufflos died, people only used these two things that is horns and

Vietnam people’s personalities
The governments and police men are more powerful than citizens in Vietnam. So, Vietnam people tries to observe the laws like wear helmets when you are riding motorcycles. But actually the helmets are just made of styroforms and plastic. So, if you drop the helmet, it will just broke. That means it doesn’t protect your head at all.
Vietnam people’s religion is mostly of Butah. But Vietnam is a socialism country so they just believe such as ’my parents and my ancestors’ religion was Butah so my religion is Butah too.’ And missionary is out of the law.
This is disappeared about 30 years ago, Police men visited every single places to look every person to know imformations of them even tourists. But still not Vietnam citizens anymore, when tourists visited Vietnam and stay in the hotel, one of the people who work in the hotel tell to police about tourists’ imformations.
This disappeared but about 15 years ago, Vietnam hated American because they didn’t close each other so they had a war for 11 years. So, if somebody spoke English, police men caught the people who spoke English. There are lots of people who can’t speak English in Vietnam. Mostly they can speak their own words. Actually they have own words but they didn’t have any letters when they invaded by France. So, France also made letters for Vietnam. That is similiar to alphabets but there are other strange letter and tone language like China.
Vietnam people’s personalities are pure, obey, uncreative, and do the work only what someone said to do it.

3 important things in Vietnam)
-Water
Like other countries such as Korea, the mountains are mostly of soil mountains but in Vietnam, the mountains are mostly of rock mountains. However, the rock mountains melted and spread to the water. So, If you drink you will have a stomachache because of different kind of water in Vietnam. So you must be careful. But in hotels or other safe restaurants , it will be safe..

-Passport and Pick-Pocket
When you travel to Vietnam and stay in a hotel, the hotel will keep your Passport until you leave otherwise you need to keep your passport somewhere safe. And every country has pickpocketers mostly in crowded place. And in hotel or like bus for tourists, you always need to hold your valuables like camera, cell phone, wallet, porch, or other things otherwise they will take it.

Gin Club
On Feburuary 2nd, two teachers (Mr.Martinez and Mrs.Meyer) who is working Gin club at GSIS visited 5s to explain the Organization called Gin. This is about Gin club that these two teachers explained.

Gin club’s GIN stands for Global Issues Network. Gin club is a club that allows students from all over the world to be connected through satellites solve problems of the world.

There are big problems in the world such as pollution and hunger that are not getting any better. We can be a part of solving the problem by recycling, or focusing money to provide food toend starvation.

If there was a group of people who struggle to eat everyday, we can help by having a fundraising event. For example, asking for donations or charging people to go into events. This money raised would thenbe given to a Korean organization that will use the money to help people who are hungry.

Many people in Nepal don’t live past the age 5. Many die from diarrhea, beause they don’t have money to buy medicine. So, the GIN club made 3 on 3 basketball tournament in which people would have to pay to be a part of, and the money would go to Haiti.

Lastly, I don’t believe I am too young to take action. There are lots of activities that I could do at my age. For example, I could bring clothes from home and donate to those who are less fortunate.
